Here is a step-by-step outline of the procedure I follow for every circumcision.
Before the procedure
I will go through the aftercare information with you, making sure everything is clearly explained and understood. I want you to feel confident and fully prepared to care for your baby after the procedure.
Hygiene & Safety
Single-use items are safely disposed of after the procedure to help prevent cross-contamination and maintain a high standard of hygiene.
The circumcision
The circumcision itself takes less than a minute and is performed carefully using sterilised instruments and appropriate sterile equipment.
Preparing Your Baby
A small amount of local anaesthetic cream will be applied to help numb the area and minimise discomfort.
24-Hour Support
You are never left on your own. 24-hour telephone support is available after the procedure, so you can contact me if you have any questions or concerns during your baby’s recovery.
Dressing & Comfort
Once the procedure is complete, I will apply a sterile dressing, dress your baby and make sure they are comfortable and settled. I will remain with you to ensure you are happy before I leave.
Aftercare Demonstration
I will show you exactly how to care for the area and demonstrate how to change the gauze or dressing when required. internal://e712293f-1ea2-4175-b909-4161fe6c86e2
